Be UMD Ready: Emergency Preparedness Learning Session
In support of National Preparedness Month in September, OEMBC collaborated with UMD Police and the Office of the Fire Marshal to create a 45-minute session focused on individual preparedness. This learning opportunity was extended to students, faculty, and staff throughout September. In response to the increasing demand and popularity of the course, we have now provided a recorded version for the campus community, enabling access at any convenient time.
The session includes topics such as:
- The types of emergencies that might occur on campus and how to prepare for them;
- Existing safety and security measures on campus;
- How departments coordinate during an emergency; and
- Various resources available to improve readiness.
Alternatively, if you prefer a live session for your office, department, or student group, you may request a session with a Q&A segment at the conclusion. Reach out to OEMBC by contacting us here.
