Potential Hazards

(also known as Emergency Actions)

Potential Hazards are dangers or risks that may occur and result in injury or property damage. It is important to recognize the potential hazards in order to mitigate the potential risks or losses, as well as to know what protective actions to take if the potential hazards occur.

For assistance with planning for emergencies with a disability, contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at firemarshal@umd.edu or 301-405-3960.
