In the Community

The Office of Emergency Management (OEM) participates in campus and community events throughout the year. We provide emergency preparedness educational materials, engage in discussions, raffle items, and more! Invite us to your staff meetings, classrooms, orientations, and events! We provide presentations, facilitate discussions, and can host activities to help you prepare for emergencies.

Some of the products and services that OEM will provide are: FEMA materials, pocket guides, displaying and raffling emergency kits (NOAA weather radio with USB charger/hand-cranked/solar/etc., first aid kit, emergency blanket, etc.). Additionally, OEM will encourage campus community members to register cell phone numbers with UMD alerts and other social media outlets to provide up to date information about events taking place in the community.
